Job Description:

The successful candidate will be an integral part of Cantalician Center for Learning and will assist the Marketing Coordinator in developing and executing a successful marketing strategy, to include event coordination, development activities and public relations. Duties of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with the development and implementation of the marketing and public relations plans for all Cantalician Center sites, including writing or producing pertinent communication materials, and collaborating on projects with staff and various vendors.
  • Organizing and maintaining donor relationship and event databases to prepare for upcoming events and/or marketing initiatives.
  • Assisting with direct mail campaigns for the organization.
  • Producing content, photos, and video for social media pages.

Experience and Skills:

Qualifications/Skills * Qualified candidates should be pursuing a degree in Development, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Event Planning, Media Relations, Multimedia Studies or other related field. Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Must have knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Publisher and Excel. Should be highly organized, detail oriented and have excellent computer and database skills. Must foster teamwork and shared responsibility in self-managed environment. Experience in graphic design or A/V technology is preferred, but not required.

Students will gain experience in the field of Development, Marketing, Public Relations, and Event Planning as they apply classroom theory to real world tasks and projects. Learning objectives are unique to each candidate and will be determined based on skills, experience, educational goals and requirements.
